Yalumba Wild Ferment Eden Valley Chardonnay 2008
"A little brother of the Heggies, this has the same similar citrus and nectarine notes (with ripe green apple in support), plus the nutty, leesy character and a fresh finish. Classy style at this price."

James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2010
87 points - "The 2008 Wild Ferment Chardonnay was aged in a mix of oak and stainless steel. Medium straw-colored, it exhibits a nose of baking spices, baked apple, and a hint of tropical fruits. On the palate it is medium-bodied dry, and savory. This nicely priced Chardonnay will drink well over the next 1-2 years."
Jay Miller, The Wine Advocate (USA) #186, December 2009
88 points - "Nectarine, nougat and, yes, some funky wild ferment characters - although it's a gentle kind of wilderness admittedly, with no bears, vicious wargs or similar on the prowl. Soft and lightly spicy with gentle acidity and an appealing sort of glossiness. Not the most shapely or focussed of wines but an unforced and easy going one nonetheless. Food friendly too I'd say."
